School Year Programs
After School Program
The final bell rings but the day is far from over – you’re still at work and your child is looking for something fun to do. Cue Imagine!’s After School Program! Qualified instructors and therapeutic specialists pick up your loved one from school and the fun begins! A wide range of therapeutic activities and lesson plans to engage every participant in learning, growing, gaining skills, and making new friends.
Runs Monday-Friday throughout the school year. Starting end of August – Mid May.
- Our staff will pick up participants up from their school in an Imagine! Vehicle based off their school release time.
- If the school is outside of Boulder/Broomfield counties then an extra private pay fee will be charged for each day the participant is picked up.
- Staff will then transport the participant(s) to the planned activity within the community.
- Activities typically run roughly from 4pm-5:45pm.
- After the activity ends the DSP will then transport the participant(s) to one of our 3 base-site locations. Base-sites are located in Boulder, Lafayette, and Longmont.
- Base-site location is based off participant home location/ preference of the family.
- Our activities can change yearly, but examples of some of the activities are:
- Hobby Hub: exploring various leisure pursuits while acquiring skills and discovering new hobbies.
- I Like to Move it, Move it: movement and exercises through games and adaptive recreation.
- Make A Splash: Swimming
- Stir Crazy: cooking activities that teach kitchen safety, food preparation, nutrition, meal planning, and basic cooking/baking techniques.
- Out & About: a mini “field trip” activity that allows participants to explore and engage with their local communities.
- Center Stage: Students perform an original, one-act play at the end of every school year. Characters, the script, costumes, and even the set design are created entirely by our students and staff.
School Closure Days
Holiday or spring break? No need for parents to take off work. When local school districts take the day or week off, Imagine! offers full day outings to keep your child engaged in meaningful activities.
School Closure Days:
- These are a part of the After School Program.
- We offer full 8 hours of services during these days. (8:30-9:00am- 4:30-5:00pm)
- We DO NOT provide School Closure Day activities during all In-service/Non-student contact days.
- The days we offer School Closure Days will be included in After School Program registration.
- Participants will be dropped off and picked up at one of our 3 base-sites in Boulder, Lafayette, or Longmont.
