Imagine!’s School Age Services is proud to provide unique programs geared towards supporting your loved one with disabilities, ages 7 to 21, in learning new skills, making tons of friends, and overall just having fun. These programs are set up with adventures in the community while our staff provides support in a small group setting. Our services are tailored to your loved one and their individual goals. And due to our smaller group settings, we can support their goals personally so that they feel cared for and empowered.
The Imagine! School Age Services team focuses on therapeutic best practices and positive instruction as a framework for our activities. We use fun and trusted activities to boost your loved one’s quality of life, confidence, independence, and ability to make friends.

The final bell rings, but the fun is just getting started! The Imagine! School Age Services team will pick up your loved one from school and dive straight into a world of awesome adventures waiting to be explored!
Summer Camp
School’s out but fun is still in! Your loved one can spend the summer with the Imagine! School Age Services team as we go on engaging in activities across Colorado.
Who We Are
Imagine! School Age Services team includes friendly and skilled Direct Support Professionals (DSP), Supervisors, and Coordinators. All of us are trained in and dedicated to supporting your loved one with research-based therapeutic principles during our community activities. Our Supervisor and Coordination team organizes participant schedules, DSP shifts, field trips, and transportation, while our DSPs provide dynamic care for your loved one during the activities. Our DSPs have extensive training to provide therapeutic, personalized guidance for your loved one to reach their goals in the community.
What We Do
Imagine!’s School Age Services are here to support your loved one in fun and safe activities Monday through Friday during the summer and school year. We offer programs in the community that help your loved one learn new skills and make choices that build independence and confidence. Each child receives personalized care and attention, making sure they feel empowered and supported. Some activities last several weeks, giving your loved one the chance to focus on making friends and explore new interests.
Your loved one’s safety and well-being is our top priority! We make sure there are one or two staff members caring for every two or three children, and we can even provide one-on-one care for kids aged 7 to 17.
School Age Services Therapeutic Philosophy
At Imagine!’s School Age Services, we focus on helping your loved one grow through fun, positive learning and therapeutic practices. Every child in our program has a plan made just for them, with goals that help them get the most out of their time with us. These plans guide our staff in supporting your loved one with skills like getting dressed, eating, making friends, and mobility.
Our activities are designed to build independence, and we make sure your loved one feels included and involved. We support your loved one’s physical, mental, and social growth with positive experiences in the community.
First Time Attendees
A brief intake and assessment process is required for anyone that is new to our program, or hasn’t attended in the last 2 years. This is so we can get to know you, your loved one, and to determine if our services are a good fit.
We will email you once our intake window opens with a Personal Information Form (PIF) for you to fill out. Once we receive the completed PIF back, someone on our administrative team will reach out to set up a Meet & Greet. From there, we will help register your loved one for our programs!
How to Pay for Services
Imagine!’s School Age Services accepts the following funding sources:
- Waivers:
- Children’s Extensive Support Waiver (CES)
- Supported Living Services Waiver (SLS)
- Developmental Disability Waiver (DD)
- Private Pay
- Please reach out to learn more about current cost of services depending on your county and type of service.

Adventures Across Colorado
Carousel of Happiness
Located in Nederland, the Carousel of Happiness is a wonderful and whimsical adventure for the kids in Imagine! School Age Services. The staff there always try to make it as inclusive and accessible as possible and they go out of their way to assist our group.
Mehaffey Park
In Loveland, we head over to Mehaffey Park to ride bikes, make new friends, and soak up the sun. Sometimes we run into other groups where all the kids can meet up and play.

Longmont Rec Center
By far the most popular activity for the Imagine! School Age Services crew is swimming! In Longmont, the Recreation Center has an amazing swimming pool with slides and splash zones so that everyone can have fun!

Westminster Station Nature Park
There is nothing better than hanging out with friends at a local splash pad and adventure park, and that’s why we love the Westminster Station Nature Park. They were all very accessible and the Imagine! School Age Services kids had a ton of fun hanging out with other park-goers their age!
