Why Work At Imagine!'s Summer Camp?

Looking to make an impact in your community? Summer will be here before you know it – now is your chance to make a difference and become a counselor at Imagine!’s Summer Camp 2023!

The program uses therapeutic support to help individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities experience personal growth, make new friends, learn life skills, and engage with members of the larger community throughout the Front Range.

The compassionate staff and small participant-to-counselor ratio empower participants to develop more overall independence, self-esteem and confidence.

When I had the opportunity to work for the Imagine! Summer Camp as a camp counselor, I witnessed a participant conquer their fear of the swimming pool and make it through the scary “Lost River of the Pharaohs” water ride at Water World. Another participant got to explore a new passion for outer space during our visit to the Denver Museum of Nature and Science.

Yet another learned to ride on horseback and improved their social skills with other participants each day during lunch time. Together, we would conquer each day, whether we were trying our luck at the bowling alley or paddle boating in Nederland!

The three summers I spent with Imagine! made me feel more creative, adaptable, and directly involved in making a difference in someone else’s life.
