These classes are designed to help you explore employment opportunities, build essential workplace skills, and gain the confidence to take the next step in your career journey. What topics are covered in the Career Confidence Group Classes?
The topics vary to keep things fresh and engaging for repeat participants. We cover essential skills like professionalism (timeliness, hygiene, communication), and dive into skill assessments that help each participant figure out what types of jobs might be a good fit for them. We also focus on customer service, money handling, organizational skills, listening skills, and more, with plenty of hands-on group activities and discussions to make learning interactive and fun.
Where and when do these classes take place?
For the Pre-Employment Group, the Career Confidence Group Class runs from Feb. 6 – Mar. 27.
They are hosted on Thursdays, from 3:30pm – 5:30pm. We are currently reserving locations for this class, so check back soon!
For the Career Start Group, the Career Confidence Group Class runs from Jan. 20 – Mar. 10. They are hosted on Mondays, from 2:00pm – 4:30pm, and will be held at the Lafayette Library (775 Baseline Rd, Lafayette, CO 80026).

How do I enroll in a Career Confidence Group Class?

Be sure to fill out the form yourself, as it includes important personal questions we need answered. Please don’t ask your liaison or case manager to sign you up—they can help guide you, but the registration process needs to be done directly by you!

Are the classes available online or in person?
All Career Confidence job classes are held in person. This allows us to create a hands-on, interactive environment where you can practice the skills you’re learning in real-time with others.
What skills will I gain from attending the Career Confidence Group Classes?
By attending these classes, you’ll build key skills like customer service, communication, professionalism, organization, and active listening. These skills are essential for almost any job and will help you feel confident and ready to take on new work opportunities.
How do I pay for these classes?
Many participants use their waiver funding to cover the cost of the classes. If needed, we also accept private pay. If you’re unsure which option works best for you, feel free to reach out, and we can guide you through the payment process.

One of the most surprising things people learn is the variety of job duties involved in the jobs we shadow and tour each month. Many participants are surprised at how much they can learn just by experiencing different job environments and roles firsthand.
What happens after the class ends?
