Imagine!’s Employment Services will be hosting new group job skill classes for clients starting Oct 1, and these classes have a unique twist thanks to partnerships with several local businesses. Each month of the three months of classes will focus on different skills and tasks needed for a specific job. The last class of each month will then be hosted at a local business, where clients can practice the specific skills they have learned in a real life situation. Today we thank Boulder’s Junkyard Social Club, who will be hosting the first class at a business on October 30. This is community partnership at its best, and we are so fortunate to be able to collaborate with them to help people with IDD learn the skills they need to become active, contributing members of their community.
