The residents and staff at the Imagine! Santa Fe Group Home know how to have the most exciting adventures. From fishing and gardening to painting and going on walks, these folks do it all while remaining safe and healthy during the pandemic. Recently, however, they had an exhilarating experience involving a new friend from their gardens!

Tom the Tomato Hornworm was found crawling amongst the cucumbers, beets, and other plants in the Imagine! Santa Fe Group Home gardens. The staff and residents saw him and immediately fell in love. They named him Tom and took him into their home to observe him transform into a cocoon and then eventually a beautiful moth.

Quickly, Tom began transforming and wove himself into a cocoon. The residents and staff were anxious to see what he would look like when he hatched, and so they passed by his little home every day to check on him.

To everyone's delight, Tom hatched at the end of August! He spread out his wings and was ready to fly. The residents at the group home then painted touching goodbye signs to see Tom off. They all gathered outside the home and said their final goodbyes to their Tomato Hornworm turned Moth friend, Tom.
