Moonlight on Moonlight

Awaking at 4:30

making coffee

thinking about moonbeams

Alexa play,

“Good Day, Sunshine”

by: The Beatles

wondering about celestial things

7-minute drive across town

in darkness, with streetlights & our moon

walking from the car

high altitude air

being brave

telling myself, “I Love”

I therefore, with clarity & consciousness

 “love is enough”

“to love another”

in ways as to be a helper

“People That Need People, Are the Luckiest People”

 

6 am shift

ready to, “Make It Happen”

there is no place I would rather be

than in this home, helping

 

 

out my smarthome window

we peel back the mechanical shades

to let the morning in

to greet the good day

sometimes, the sky is purple

the way the sunlight plays

upon the clouds and colors blend

and Colorado

has my mind of splendor

is facing east

away from my awe of the west

mountain ranges

 

the moon following me

as the moon does

when she knows you are, watching it?

and moonlight don’t mind

being your muse
