Meet Jed Shapiro

In celebration of National Mental Health Awareness Month, today we’d like to introduce Jed Shapiro, a member of Imagine!’s Mental Health Services team.

Jed told us: “I have worked with Imagine clients since 1975 when I started at Boulder Mental Health Center as a psychiatrist. When Imagine! moved to Lafayette about 2008 I started with the same clients as an Imagine! employee. I have been around I/DD folks my whole life as my father, a pediatrician in New Jersey, was president of a New Jersey association that served children with I/DD in the 1950’s. He even ran a painting class in our basement for many years for 4 or 5 of those folks and I joined in.”
