Imagine! Receives Impact Award

On Thursday, March 21, Imagine! received the “Impact Award” during the Lafayette Chamber of Commerce Awards dinner. In accepting the award, Imagine! CEO Kathryn Arbour shared the following words: “Imagine! was established back in 1963 by a group of parents who wanted their children, who happened to have developmental disabilities, to be able to engage in their communities just like all the other kids in the neighborhood did. From the very beginning, our greatest success in meeting our mission came when our community stood with us as we worked together to create a world of opportunity for all abilities. We can’t do what we do without the support of our community, and we are so grateful for the backing we have received over the years from our kind and generous friends and neighbors who support our work and help us strive for a healthy and inclusive community. So while I accept this impact award on behalf of Imagine!, our staff members, and the people we serve, I also accept it on behalf of the amazing people and businesses who are lucky enough to call Lafayette home – they are the ones who have stood side by side with us for decades, and who I know will be there for us as we continue to move our work forward. They are the ones who make it possible for us to have an impact! Thank you!”
