This month, we are celebrating National Employment Disability Month! Employing an individual with different abilities may be one of the best decisions you make for your company. High retention rate, diverse workforce, and awareness in the community are just a few of the many benefits you gain when employing an individual with a disability.

Imagine! clients are eager to work for you, and ready to prove that they have what it takes to serve your organization well.

Having a job is part of our identity. When you meet someone at a social gathering, a common question is “what do you do for work?” Our careers often reflect our personalities and give us purpose in life. Purpose, responsibility, community, and achievement; this is what our clients are searching for.

Imagine!’s Employment Services was established over 35 years ago and provides job training, placement, and coaching to adults in our services. In an effort to spike productivity in finding more employers to hire clients through Imagine!’s Employment Services, we launched a brand new Advisory Board. This group will brainstorm, collaborate, and execute solutions on how to get more local businesses to work with Imagine! and hire individuals with developmental disabilities.

The Board is made up of a small group of outside professionals who are passionate about the work we do and have ample business experience. Each member will serve a one year term and be expected to acquire a certain amount of business partners and connections during their tenure. Our Advisory Board includes:

Doyle Albee

President/CEO at MAPRagency

Andrew Williams

Owner of AndrewWilliamsDesigns

Rebecca Rose

President at InClover Research

Connor Leahy

Graduate Student

Judy Toran Cousin

Investor and Entrepreneur
