It is flower planting season, and some of our generous neighbors are offering you a way to make your garden great while supporting Imagine! at the same time. Sandy Starkweather and Glenn Fernandez, avid gardeners who love to build community around the joy and abundance of gardening, will be hosting a giveaway of a variety of vegetable (tomato, pepper, eggplant) and flowers (mixed) seedlings in 2"-4" pots on Sunday, May 23. The seedlings will be free, but they are asking for suggested donations of $2-$10, and the proceeds will go to Imagine!.
The giveaway will take place May 23 9am-1pm, or until supplies run out, at Sandy’s driveway, 2605 Dartmouth Ave. Boulder, CO 80305.
This is such a fun and colorful way to support our mission, and Sandy was motivated by the recent tragedy in Boulder in wanting to help out. She told us: “We live in South Boulder and feel very connected to the tragedy of the King Soopers shooting. Teri Leiker's story was particularly moving to us and we wanted to do something to benefit an organization that brought joy and opportunity to her life and to many others in Boulder.”
We thank you so much Sandy and Glenn, and encourage all of our friends to stop by her driveway on May 23 for some garden giveaways and what is sure to be a great time!
