A group of University of Colorado students in Professor Melinda Piket-May's Fall 2022 Engineering class worked on adaptive equipment projects for individuals served by Imagine!. We have worked with Professor Piket-May on projects like this for more than a decade (with a pandemic forced pause for a couple of years), and are always delighted by the results.

This year’s class demonstrated their projects at the CU Expo December 3 to show off their projects, which included a remote controlled airbrush, for an artist with limited upper body mobility, an adaptive “Chutes and Ladders” game for people who have difficulty moving solid game pieces or rolling dice or using a spinner, an inclusive “Connect 4” game, a device that rolls dice at the push of a button, a wheelchair compatible adaptive precision imagining system to help make photography more accessible, an adaptive Frisbee thrower, and much more!

We are so grateful to the students and to Professor Piket-May for their commitment to creating a world of opportunity for all abilities! Thanks also to Imagine!’s Meagan Wittle for coordinating the projects, advising the students, and facilitating students meeting with Imagine! clients.
