We are proud to share that our Rock Star for May 2022 is Hailey Bishop. She is always helpful and likes to share what she knows, and she also handles her caseload well and asks lots of great questions.
Sandra Parra is this month's Rock Star. She is always willing and able to do Intake calls for our Spanish-Speaking families.
One of our Early Intervention supervisors, Amber, attended the Interagency Meeting, where we learned about new forms and processes that will be implemented later this month.
Our referrals continue to be high, not only with the ones we have always received but also with many Transitional DOE's. DOE's are the meetings to determine eligibility. During the process, we have learned to schedule and coordinate these meetings. We have moved from receiving support from Patrick Krause to having EI Intake coordinate the meetings.
Early Intervention is constantly improving our knowledge. We receive support from other departments like Imagine! 's Intake and voucher housing program manager, who shared a tool to learn more about eligibility for Colorado waivers.
We also received emergency funding training thanks to Imagine! Crisis Specialist, Emma Perlmutter. We are also excited about an upcoming training with our Colorado Hearing Resource (CO-Hear) Coordinator, "an employee of the Colorado School for the Deaf and the Blind (CSDB), who is a trained professional who works with children who are Deaf or hard of hearing between the ages, birth to 3 years old, and their families." Imagine!s CO-Hear will join the Early Intervention staff meeting this month to review these services and supports available to this population.
