Today we’d like to welcome David Grimsland to the Imagine! team. David has joined us as the new Executive Director of the Imagine! Foundation.

Here’s what David shared with us about himself:

“For me this is a dream come true, as Imagine!’s mission and values are so closely aligned with my own. My wife and I are parents of triplets and one of our three children is diagnosed with autism. Through this journey our commitment to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities has deepened and become central to our community, family and friends. Our son Nikolai has been served through Imagine! on the CES Waiver and now the DD waiver as he just turned 18. I’ve always been extremely impressed with the support and services Imagine! has provided my son and our family, and I couldn’t be a bigger fan of the work we do. It’s with all this in mind that I join the team in hopes of building on the incredible work we’ve done and continuing to grow and support more individuals in Boulder and Broomfield Counties.

A little more about myself; I’ve been a volunteer/board member for the Autism Society of Boulder County for over 15 years and have held the positions of Fundraising Chair and Vice President. Through the ASBC, I’ve engaged in fundraising, donor engagement, marketing and event planning right here in Boulder County for many years.

Prior to the Imagine! Foundation I directed the Colorado Grants Guide for the Community Resource Center in Denver, helping nonprofits of all sizes access funding throughout Colorado. Prior to that, I worked with Bright by Text, a nonprofit that delivers parenting tips via SMS technology nationwide designed to improve early childhood outcomes and family engagement. I have also served as the Director of Sales & Marketing for Boulder Weekly and Retail Advertising Manager for the Daily Camera, in Boulder.”

Welcome David!
