Colorado Chautauqua Art Donates To Imagine!

Imagine! was once again honored to be one of the beneficiaries of the Colorado Chautauqua Art In The Park event!

What is Art in The Park? We’re glad you asked! Fifteen talented artists were selected from a pool of close to 200 applicants to transform fiberglass bear statues into extraordinary works of art. The participating artists have created a stunning exhibit located in one of the most breathtaking outdoor venues in the country.

The bears were on display throughout Chautauqua’s National Historic Landmark campus from December 2022 through April 2023. The bears were then part of an auction, and the proceeds raised went to participating artists, local nonprofits like Imagine!, and the Colorado Chautauqua.

Thanks to the generosity of the Colorado Chautauqua, Imagine! will receive close to $600 to direct toward our mission of creating a world of opportunity for all abilities! We are so grateful!

Pictured below is “The Marvelous Miss Maple!” Created by artist and quilt maker Barbara Yates Beasley, Miss Maple has a beautifully painted quilt jacket with maple leaf detailing – and what bear wouldn’t want that?
