This week we would like to highlight a long-standing business partner of Imagine! – The Sink.

The Sink is a Boulder-based restaurant that was established in the 1920s. As Boulder’s oldest bar and restaurant, it is widely regarded as a local favorite with some of the best food around! They have been honored by visits from President Obama, Guy Fieri of Diners, Drive-ins and Dives, Madeleine Albright, Top Chef's Eric Ripert, Anthony Bourdain, and former employee Robert Redford, to name just a few!

Since 2006, The Sink has run on 100 percent wind power and implemented multiple other conservation measures. All of their world-famous burgers are made from beef that is either Certified Angus or grass-fed beef from Teaton Waters Ranch. The Sink utilizes seasonal produce and seeks the highest quality ingredients for their scratch-made menu. They are located on the Hill at 1165 13th St., Boulder, CO, and are open 11:30 am to 9 pm Sunday through Thursday and 11:30 am – 10 pm Friday through Saturday. You can check out their menu here: The Sink Menu.

The Sink has been working with Imagine!’s Employment Services team for years in order to help employ folks with intellectual or developmental disabilities (I/DD). In order to do that, job coaches at Imagine! work with the staff at The Sink to find positions for groups of individuals with I/DD as well as provide an accessible and inclusive work environment. Not only is The Sink a well-respected, and tasty, restaurant in Boulder, but they are an active part in helping to create a world of opportunity for all abilities through meaningful employment.

Thank you to everyone at The Sink for helping to provide meaningful employment to dozens of people with I/DD over the past decade. We are forever grateful to this business for seeing the potential of all, hiring an inclusive and diverse workforce, and being a partner with Imagine! in the past and for many years to come!
