This week we are joined by Claire Gritton as she shares an update on the Imagine! Family Support Services Program.

Without a doubt, every month feels busy for the Family Support program! At the beginning of July, our business support team was busy processing all of our Most In Need assessments. These assessments allow us to determine our funding source and also indicate within the many families we serve how many are still interested in the program! While it is extremely time consuming to process these assessments, our team always manages to pull it off, and we know how important it is to be able to see how much funding we need to provide to the communities we serve.

During this time, we were also starting to brainstorm how to do yet another remote round of Receipt Verification. Last year we had a challenging learning curve, so the team sat down and worked hard to make this process as smooth as possible this time. In order for every family funded to be eligible for the next fiscal year, they are required to turn in 100% of receipts from what they purchased in the funding period. Days after sending out communication, we were already getting paper receipts scanned in from the front desk (thank you Mei Lin!), many emails, and also using our fancy receipt portal that IT worked hard to create. This month, we have been working hard to support our families in our annual Most In Need assessment.

Within the first two days of communication, we had already received 64 emails from families submitting their receipts. This is great news! As always, with all of our communication, the navigators are getting an incredibly high volume of calls/emails. The navigators work hard every day to provide the families with vital information and work alongside the rest of the team to provide the best customer service possible.

As always, it is apparent how passionate our whole team in wanting to provide the best services for our families, and we look forward to the new fiscal year!
