Art Programs

Imagine!’s art program provides individuals in our services with opportunities to pursue art both therapeutically and professionally. The artists involved in services take art classes, attend art market events, get opportunities to display their art in professional exhibits, and work with Imagine!’s team of specialists to sell their art, or print it on various merchandise.

Imagine!’s Art Program is an inclusive community that supports neurodiverse individuals who have a passion for creativity and self-expression. We offer inclusive opportunities for our artists to create, display, promote, and sell their works in and around the communities in which they live.

Imagine! encourages inclusivity. Our services are always looking for ways to get involved and engaged with our community.

The Art Team

Dani Michaelis is Imagine!'s Art Program Specialist. Her focus is on Imagine!'s art programming and promotion. She has been with Imagine! for over 7 years and began as a direct support professional with the adult program. She enjoys working with our artists, promoting their creativity, supporting them to find new techniques, and finding resources for them within their community.

Imagine! Presents Center Stage

Center Stage is Imagine!'s adult theater program. We partner with Dandelion Arts Collective and Parlando School of Musical Arts to make this program happen. The performers put on two shows each year. For each show, they spend roughly 10 weeks planning and rehearsing before the live show. The group creates the storyline, the characters, the setting, the props, etc. for the show. The final show is a unique creation all their own.

Artist Group

The artist group we support create art goals each year that they work towards. They attend Imagine! Art classes to make their creations. We join several art markets throughout the year in Boulder and Broomfield counties, and occasionally the Denver area. Our artists enjoy attending art galleries, displaying their art at galleries, and going to studios to create. These artists also work on self promotion, and will soon have a website to display, promote, and sell their works.
