Meet Imagine!'s Human Resources Team
Jeff Tucker
Director of Human Resources
For most of my career I have worked in not-for-profit organizations. I came to Imagine! in 2021, drawn to the organization’s mission. I love working in HR, because I get to work with so many dedicated, creative, and talented employees. I enjoy improving communication, and fostering a positive, inclusive workplace culture where people can bring their “whole selves” to work each day.
Job Duties
- Collaborate with Directors, Managers, and my team to set HR goals, strategize, and stay focused on our ultimate goal of service to and empowerment of those accepting services.
- Oversee and support training and staff development, volunteers and students.
- Policies and procedures that set guidelines for fairness, safety, quality, training and promotions, and work environment – remote work options, flexible hours, etc.
- Set total compensation – pay and pay increases and benefits such as health, vision, and dental insurance, on-the-job training paid time off (wellbeing, vacation, sick days), EAP, EcoPass, and others. Ensuring employees know and make the most of these benefits offered.
- Provide and administer customer service – internal and external customers – a role of each HR team member is “problem solver” – collaborating with supervisors and employees to find options and solutions to challenging situations.
Outside of work, I enjoy get-togethers with family and friends; playing basketball, biking, disc golf; going to music concerts; volunteering with a community organization; my brewing hobby; and reading mostly non-fiction/listening to history podcasts. My favorite TV viewing is comedy – standup, sitcom, improv.
